Working on Outlook Express, the most common problem that the Outlook Express users come across is that it doesn’t allows you to download the images by default. Instead of showing the embedded images, it displays a red X mark in the place of image and prompts the user with the following message:

“Some pictures have been blocked to help prevent the sender from identifying your computer. Click here to download pictures.”

1.Click Start > Programs > Outlook Express
2.On the Tools menu, click Options and click Security tab
3.Deselect the Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail option
4.Click OK to exit

Note that the Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail option is enabled as a part of security feature in Outlook Express to save you from the horror of junk emails or spam and so it is recommended that this option must be turned on so that the profile owner downloads messages only from trusted sources.
