Troubleshoot the Outlook Express run time error
Posted by admin | Under Tech Articles Friday Dec 30, 2011The Outlook Express run time error is caused mainly by four reasons TSR discrepancy, software compatibility issue, virus attack and memory corruption. This error occurs during opening a file, downloading a file or sending a file. This error can also make the files inaccessible and shut the Outlook Express.
If the DBX files are not compatible with a third party software then the runtime error can appear on screen. Outlook Express will show this error even if there is a virus or software attack. These are some examples of runtime error: Bad file name or number, Disk full, Permission denied, Path/ File error, Out of memory, Object error, Disk full, File already exists, File already open, OLEXP: Err Msg, etc.
The OLEXP: Err Msg says that “this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.” It provides the following details “MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in module Msoe.dll at address” Or “Outlook Express could not be started (0x800c012e error).”
For rectifying this error, point on start, place the cursor on Find and select files or folders. Search for .dbx files in the C drive. View the DBX files which have been searched. Right click on each DBX file and remove the read only attributes from it. Select OK and apply the changes and close the program.
Now check whether the files are opening or not. If the files are not opening then it means that there is some serious problem in the DBX files. In that case, you can salvage the files with DBX repair Software. By using this tool even a novice can reacquire the corrupted, damaged, deleted or impaired DBX files.
It quickly performs complex algorithms and presents the recovered files in a tree. From this tree a user can save all the files, or save only selected files in DBX or EML format. It is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2003, 2000 operating system and Outlook Express 4.0, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0 versions.
